We are paid only for managing your money. Many financial advisors "hire" mutual fund managers to do it for them, adding a layer of unnecessary fees. We can reduce costs and taxes, and add value through hands-on money management.
Our investment advisors meet with you, at no charge, to determine whether our financial services are compatible with your needs. We learn about your financial goals and needs, and you gain a better understanding of the scope of our services.
The investment process starts with development of a well-defined investment policy statement. The statement is a crucial first step in building a successful relationship between client and money manager. Biechele Royce Advisors works closely with new clients to establish a suitable investment policy statement. We consider risk tolerances, expected rates of return, liquidity needs, time horizons, tax and regulatory constraints, and unique circumstances when developing the statement. It is at this stage of the investment process that the single most important investing decision is made - the general allocation of investment funds to the various asset classes (i.e. equities, fixed income, commodities, and cash). The investment policy statement also serves as a benchmark for realistically evaluating investment performance.
Our job is to:
- Build properly diversified portfolios to achieve an expected rate of return
- Minimize transaction costs and taxes
- Use no-load, low cost, low turnover mutual funds
Monitoring and Reporting
Constant monitoring and timely reporting are crucial to the investment process. We actively monitor all portfolios on a daily basis while providing feedback to you on a monthly and quarterly basis. Each client receives a monthly statement from our custodian detailing current holdings and monthly activity. Additionally, Biechele Royce Advisors provides each client with a quarterly performance statement. The quarterly report summarizes interest and dividend activity, realized and unrealized capital gains and losses, tax liability, and fees and expenses.
Trust is the cornerstone of our relationship with you. Our status as an independent, fee-only advisor is a major factor in your ability to trust us with your finances.
Clients recognize that, unlike so many other financial advisors, we are not compensated based upon commissions or type of investment product sold. High quality investment advice is our life-blood. We don't tie up your assets with surrender charges or penalties, which means we'd better be good or we lose your business.
We believe we add significant value to the investment process by: identifying and advising on all of your financial needs; building properly diversified portfolios appropriate for your risk tolerance and financial goals; and minimizing transaction costs and taxes. The importance of our relationship with you is never taken for granted as we strive to build a long-term partnership based upon trust, performance, and constant feedback.
